The Interactive Scientific Publishing group at
IBM Research is pleased to announce that the
Introductory Edition of the IBM techexplorer
Hypermedia Browser, Version 2.0 Preview Release 3,
is now available at no charge for Windows 95,
Windows NT 4.0, IBM AIX 4.1, Sun Solaris 2.5,
and SGI IRIX 6.2.

IBM's techexplorer Hypermedia Browser dynamically
formats and displays expressions and documents
containing mathematical, technical, and scientific
markup.

techexplorer is a Netscape Navigator plug-in that
processes a large subset of TeX and LaTeX. This
version also contains basic support for some
of the presentation tags in the working draft of
the W3C Mathematical Marup Language proposal.

Please visit IBM alphaWorks at

http://www.alphaWorks.ibm.com/formula/techexplorer

to download techexplorer.

An HTML readme file that gives extensive version and
installation information is available from the same
alphaWorks URL.

This version includes many internal performance
improvements and added support for TeX and
LaTeX features. Some features in the Windows version
are not yet implemented in the UNIX versions, but many have been
added since PR 2.
