SCOPE
=============
The e-Health Symposium offers a forum for researchers, scientists, engineers, academicians and students from both the academia and the industry to discuss the recent advances in theory and practice of e-Health and medical communications. As cost-effective and secure uses of information and communications technologies in the support of health and the related fields (e.g., healthcare related services, surveillance, education, knowledge, and research), e-Health solutions have experienced rapid growth and development with huge progress achieved. However, a lot of challenges still remain to be resolved in order to establish reliable, scalable, green, and secure e-Health solutions.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Electronic health records
- Telemedicine and mobile telemedicine
- Biomedical and biosensors engineering
- Sensing of vital signs and signatures
- Wearable medical wireless sensors
- Molecular sensor communications
- In-Body medical sensors communications
- Health information systems and interoperability
- Health and wellness measurement, monitoring and intervention
- Autonomic diagnosis and situation awareness (Fall, Activity, etc.)
- Context awareness and autonomous computing for AAL (Ambient Assisted Living)
- Testbeds of e-Health
- Social aspects of e-Health
- Usability and acceptability in e-Health
- Security, trust and privacy in e-Health
- Sensor networks for e-Health
- Software architectures for e-Health
- Mobile, cloud and edge computing for e-Health
- Big data and machine learning for e-Health
- Energy saving for long time monitoring
- Emerging e-Health applications

Accepted and papers will be published in the IEEE IWCMC 2017 proceedings and will be submitted to the IEEE digital library (IEEE Xplore).
