Dear colleagues,

Apologies for multiple postings.

--------------------------------------------------------------
ACM WiSec 2019 Call for Pre-Conference Workshops and Tutorials
--------------------------------------------------------------

Pre-conference workshops and tutorials will be held on Tuesday 14 May
2019, one day prior to 12th Conference on Security and Privacy in
Wireless and Mobile Networks (ACM WiSec), which will be held in Miami
Beach, Florida. ACM WiSec is the leading ACM and SIGSAC conference
dedicated to all aspects of security and privacy in wireless and
mobile networks and their applications. More information about the
12th ACM WiSec conference can be found at https://wisec19.fiu.edu.

Researchers and practitioners interested in chairing workshops or
hosting tutorials are invited to submit proposals for workshops or
tutorials.

Potential workshop and tutorial topics include, but are not limited to:
* Security and Privacy for Wireless 5G Networks and Beyond
* Wireless Security for Edge/Fog Computing
* Security and Privacy for Wireless Cyber-Physical Systems
* 5G Physical Layer Security and Privacy
* Security and Privacy for Spectrum Sharing Systems
* Security and Privacy for Large-scale Wireless Platforms and Testbeds

Workshops
---------
The goal of the workshops is to provide researchers and practitioners
a forum to address important research topics to generate new ideas,
discuss open questions and compare advantages and disadvantages of
competing approaches. Also controversial topics are welcomed.

Organizers of a workshop are required to assume responsibility of
coordinating workshop participation, publishing the program and
moderating the workshop and optionally publishing the workshop
proceedings. Workshops can be half-day or full-day workshops with
intermediary breaks between sessions for off-line discussions. We
strongly suggest workshops not to include more than 12 talks per day.
Panel sessions are also welcome.

Tutorials
---------
Proposals for tutorials targeting any topics relevant to wireless and
mobile network security are welcomed. Tutorials should be of interest
to a significant portion of the WiSec community and represent a
relatively mature area of research or practice. The scope of the
tutorial should be sufficiently broad not as to cover only specific
tools or technologies of particular organizations, but rather provide
a balanced overview of an area of security research.

Each tutorial will be approximately 2-3 hours, 3-4 tutorials in total,
running in parallel with workshop sessions.

Submission instructions
-----------------------
Proposals should be no more than 5 pages in 12-point double column
format and should be submitted in PDF format by email to
WiSec19WorkshopTutorial at gmail.com with a subject of keyword "WiSec'19
Workshop Proposal" or "WiSec'19 Tutorial Proposal" followed by the
proposed workshop or tutorial name.

Workshop proposals should include a draft call for papers. If the
workshop is intended to be invitation-based-only, a draft
advertisement for the workshop should be included.
Proposals should provide a description and an outline of the intended
content of the workshop or tutorial, with an appropriate overview of
the its positioning with regard to state-of-the-art research.
Tutorial proposals should outline the target audience of the tutorial,
names of presenters including names, affiliations, e-mail addresses
and short biographies of each speaker, highlighting the speaker's
expertise related to the proposed tutorial topic. All nominated
presenters are expected to attend the tutorial.
