*First Call*

Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to submit your chapter proposals for the second
edition of my book, "Internet of Things A to Z: Technologies and
Applications, Wiley-IEEE Press.

*Introduction*

The first edition of this book was published in 2018 with the aim of
providing holistic and comprehensive material on the Internet of Things
(IoT). This goal has been successfully accomplished, and the book has
become a reference for various researchers and professional ICT
practitioners. Some universities around the world, including those in
Europe and North America, are also using this book as course material for
several subjects. Today, six years after its publication, and with the
continuous growth of IoT, it is imperative that the book be updated. Hence,
the aim of this project is to refine the focus of the book and fill the
gaps in the previous edition by including topics essential for a cohesive
and timely understanding of the IoT. In this edition, special emphasis will
be given to network technologies, security, AI, and big data analytics. New
application domains will also be included. And finally, the content
retained from the previous edition will be revised.

   - Experienced researchers and practitioners with a good publication
record are invited to submit their chapter proposals for an initial
evaluation. A standard chapter proposal should be saved in Word format and
   include the following:
   - A minimum of five keywords.
   - An extended abstract (approximately 500 words) that clearly explains
the topic and contribution of the proposed chapter.
   - A tentative table of contents (TOC) that clearly explains how the
authors intend to address the subject.
   - Authors' bios, affiliations, contact information, and Google Scholar
   links.
   - Authors are highly encouraged to check the first edition of the book
before submission to get an idea about the quality of the content, writing
style and depth, format, etc. TOC and some chapters are available online
   for free.

*Important*

   - There are NO submission or processing fees.
   - Authors of accepted chapters will receive a free copy of the book
   after publishing.
   - Contributors may submit multiple proposals if they wish.
   - All manuscripts must be original and not concurrently under
consideration by other books, journals, or conferences. Wiley will conduct
plagiarism checks, and manuscripts found to have plagiarism/self-plagiarism
   will be rejected.
   - Besides the relevance and depth of the coverage, *excellent language*
is key to accepting chapters for this book.
   - All manuscripts will be reviewed thoroughly before a decision is made.
   - *Wiley does NOT accept AI content, so proposals that are mostly AI
content (due to excessive use of AI proofreaders), or those that do not
meet the criteria listed above will not be accepted.*
   - Proposals, manuscripts, and inquiries should be sent to the editor at
   qusayfadhel at gmail.com.

*Important Dates*
