<span style="mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">The International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (ARES) brings together researchers and practitioners in the field of IT security & privacy.Since 2005, ARES serves as an important
platform to exchange, discuss and transfer knowledge </span><span lang="EN-US" style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial',sans-serif">and is hosted every year in another European city. </span></p>
<p>The 2021 Conference is the 16<sup>th</sup> edition of ARES and will be held virtually from August 17-20, 2021, organized by SBA Research.</p>
<p></span><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial',sans-serif">The workshops are central events for ARES as they provide an essential platform for researchers of various domains to present and discuss their current work and discuss work in progress.<br>
This year we can offer the conference attendees 16 workshops which range from “start-ups” to well-established ones.</span></p>

ARES 2021 proceedings (including workshops) will be published by the International Conference Proceedings Series published by ACM (ACM ICPS). Authors of selected papers that are accepted by and presented at the ARES Conference (including workshops) will be
invited to submit an extended version to special issues of international journals.</span></p>
