Precision and CD's

OK = I'm (slowly) beginning to understand.
'precision' is logically redundant (though possibly helpful) if it
    specifies a precision in the same radix as the number.
It is NECESSARY if the number has a computed precision in a radix different from
    that in which it is being implemented.
In that case, I'll suggest another CD soon.
