The First WebALT Conference and Exhibition will take place at the
Technical University of Eindhoven on 5-6 January 2006.

This event, sponsored by the Web Advanced Learning Technologies project
(EDC-22253), aims to gather users and practitioners of e-learning
technologies for teaching mathematics to exchange experience with, and
gain insight into, the best available tools for mathematics education.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

     * Software supported testing and assessment in mathematics
     * Repositories of didactical material for online learning of
       mathematics and the sciences
     * Case studies and success stories of e-learning in mathematics
     * E-learning of mathematics in applied sciences
     * Multilingual aspects in e-mathematics
     * Data formats and communication protocols for mathematics
       in e-learning
     * Intellectual property rights of e-learning materials
       in mathematics
     * Policy issues in cross-cultural re-use of e-learning materials
       in mathematics

The Conference program will consist of contributed and invited
presentations with demonstrations of software and posters as part
of the Exhibition. R. Seiler and P. De Bra are the keynote speakers.

The Local Organization selected two hotels which are listed below and
are within 1 km from the conference location. In these hotels, a block
of rooms is optionally booked until December 20. Special room rates
hold because Technische Universiteit Eindhoven receives a discount.

Please contact the hotel of your choice by email. Do not forget to
mention that you are a participant of the WebALT conference; this
enables you to receive a room in the booked block of rooms at a
reduced room rate. The blocks of rooms are reserved for the period
Januari 4 until Januari 7; if you want to stay for a longer period,
then book your hotel as soon as possible.
