Apologies for multiple postings:
Please note that the early registration deadline for RR2009 will end
September 20th, which is only slightly more than a week from now!
Also note, in case you additionally plan to attend ISWC2009, that the ISWC
early registration deadline closes tomorrow.
Call FOR PARTICIPATION
RR 2009
The Third International Conference on
Web Reasoning and Rule Systems
http://www.rr-conference.org
You are invited to RR 2009, the major forum for discussion and
dissemination of new results concerning Web Reasoning and Rule
Systems. The vast scale and the diverse nature of the Semantic Web
presents numerous challenges for knowledge representation and
reasoning. Accordingly, the program features papers on practical and
theoretical aspects of reasoning, including reasoning under
uncertainty and inconsistency, and combining reasons with actions, as
well as scalability and efficiency considerations. Other papers
explore extensions and applications of current standards and
techniques for the Semantic Web including combining rule based systems
with ontologies and description logics, module systems for ontologies
and rules, ontology alignment, and path query languages.
Invited Talks and Tutorial
-- Robert Kowalski "Integrating Logic Programming and Production
Systems with Abductive Logic Programming Agents"
-- Benjamin Grossof "SILK: Higher Level Rules with Defaults and
Semantic Scalability"
-- Thomas Lukasiewicz "Uncertainty Reasoning for the Semantic Web"
The complete list of accepted papers is available at
http://www.rr-conference.org/RR2009.
RR 2009 will be held near Washington, D.C. in Chantilly, Virginia
October 25-26, 2009. It is co-located with ISWC 09 and OWLED 2009.
Registrants of RR 2009 may attend ISWC workshops and tutorials for
free.
