Call for Participation

We like to take the opportunity to inform you about the upcoming 31th International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security (SAFECOMP), which will be held this year in Magdeburg, Germany from September 25th to September 28th in historic Herrenkrug Hotel.

SAFECOMP is an annual event covering new trends, technologies and experiences in the areas of safety, security and reliability of critical computer applications. Since it was established in 1979 by the European Workshop on Industrial Computer Systems, Technical Committee 7 on Reliability, Safety and Security (EWICS TC7), SAFECOMP has continuously contributed to the progress of state-of-the-art in dependability of computers in critical systems. The key theme of SAFECOMP2012 will be "Virtually safe -- making system safety traceable".

Besides interesting keynote lectures from Prof. Jürgen Leohold (CTO of Volkswagen), Prof. Marta Kwiatkowska (Oxford University) and Prof. Hans Hansson (Märladen University), SAFECOMP 2012 offers five different workshops in several safety-related domains as well as a TÜV Tutorial for FMEDA methodology in the context of ISO26262 certification.
Enclosed with this letter you will find more details about the upcoming conference. You might also want to visit the website (www.ovgu.de/safecomp) for program information and registration.

We hope to see you at the SAFECOMP 2012 in Magdeburg
Frank Ortmeier
