The conference series ICISS (International Conference on Information 
Systems Security), held annually, provides a forum for disseminating 
the latest research results in information and systems security.

ICISS 2014, the 10th edition of this annual conference, will be held at 
IDRBT, Hyderabad, India during 16-20 December 2014. 

ICISS 2014 encourages submissions from the academia, industry and 
government addressing theoretical and practical problems in information 
and systems security and related areas. Topics of interest include, but 
not limited to:

Application Security
Attacks and Defenses
Auditing and Accountability
Authentication
Banking/Finance and Security
Biometric Security
Cyber-Physical Systems Security
Digital Forensics
Distributed Systems Security
Embedded Systems Security
Hardware Security
Intrusion Detection and Recovery
Language-based security
Malware
Mobile Devices and Security
Network Security
Operating Systems Security
Privacy and Anonymity
Secure Information Flow
Security Modeling and Analysis
Security Testing
Usability and Security
Web Security

ICISS is interested in all aspects of information systems security. Papers 
without a clear application to security of information systems, however, will 
be considered out of scope and may be rejected without a full review. All 
the previous proceedings of this conference series are indexed by DBLP. 
The acceptance ratio of the last nine conferences has averaged less than 30%, 
and the proceedings have been published as part of the Springer Verlag series 
of Lecture Notes in Computer Science.

Manuscript Submission (Full Paper): 14 Jul 2014
Notification of Acceptance: 25 Aug 2014
Camera-ready Manuscript Due: 14 Sep 2014

Submitted full papers must not exceed 20 LNCS pages. The page limit includes 
title, abstract, figures and references. Additional details may be included in 
a clearly-marked appendix that will be read at the discretion of the program 
committee. All papers must use at least 10-point Times Roman font and be formatted 
as per the "LNCS style". Submissions deviating from these guidelines will not be 
reviewed. Accepted submissions will be published by Springer in the LNCS series.

of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper.

Call for Short Talks

A new feature of the conference is a session of 10-minute talks where students and 
attendees can present a short overview of preliminary research ideas or preliminary 
research results. Short talk abstracts (one-page PDF or plain-text file) can be 
submitted to iciss2014_shorttalks at idrbt.ac.in on or before 31st August 2014. The 
abstracts are not published in the final proceedings. The main purpose of the short 
talks is to get a chance to share your preliminary ideas with the research community 
and to solicit input. Short-talks will generally be accepted as long as they are 
relevant and slots are available in the order they are received.

Call for Tutorials

The organizing committee of ICISS 2014, solicits half-day (3 Hours) or full-day 
tutorial (6 hours) proposals to be held during 16-17 December 2014, before the 
main conference begins on 18th December. Tutorial proposals should address either 
emerging or established research topics that will be of broad interest to the ICISS 
community and as listed in the Call for Papers so that participants can acquire 
technical knowledge in emerging and/or established research areas. Proposals should 
not exceed 3 pages containing Title, Abstract, Target audience, Prerequisites, 
Expected enrolment along with the basis of such enrolment, List of topics to be 
presented with their estimated duration and pointers to the associated literature, 
Short biography of the tutor with relevant experience on the tutorial topic. Tutorial 
proposal should be emailed to iciss2014_tutorials at idrbt.ac.in by 31 August 2014. 
Tutorial proposals will be prioritized and evaluated based on their originality, 
relevance to the conference, quality and level of details, qualifications of the 
tutors on the proposed topic, and their potential to attract participants to the 
conference.

Call for Doctoral Symposium

The objective of ICISS Doctoral Symposium is to provide a forum for Ph.D. students 
to present their research ideas, current progress and future plans. Its an 
opportunity to receive constructive criticism and insights related to their future 
work and career perspectives. A mentor (a senior researcher who is active in the field) 
will be assigned to each student to provide individual feedback. Selected students 
will have the opportunity to present an overview of their research plan at the ICISS 
conference during December 16-20, 2014. Papers for the Doctoral Symposium should be 
emailed to iciss2014_phd at idrbt.ac.in on or before 31st August 2014.
