CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
3rd IEEE Conference on Communications and Network Security
Florence, Italy -- September 28-30, 2015
http://cns2015.ieee-cns.org/
*** Deadline approaching! (April 3, 2015) ***
IEEE Conference on Communications and Network Security (CNS) is a new
conference series in IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) core
conference portfolio and the only ComSoc conference focusing solely on
cyber security. IEEE CNS is a spin-off of IEEE INFOCOM, the premier
ComSoc conference on networking. Building on the success of the past
two years’ conferences, IEEE CNS 2015 solicits proposals for workshops
in conjunction with the conference to be held in Firenze, Italy, from
September 28 to 30, 2015 (www.ieee-cns.org). Workshops will take place
on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
A workshop associated with CNS can be a full or half day in
length. Each workshop should provide a forum to address a specific
topic at the forefront of communications and network security
research. Workshop papers will be included in the CNS conference
proceeding and also IEEE Xplore. Submissions of workshop proposals
must reach the workshop chair by April 3, 2015.
Workshop Proposal Submission
A workshop proposal should contain at least the following information:
* workshop title;
* motivation, rationale, and proposed format for the workshop;
* a draft "Call for Papers" articulating the scope and topics covered
by the workshop;
* expected number of submissions and acceptance rate;
* expected number of attendees;
* program chair(s), and if available, tentative program committee;
* a one-paragraph biographical sketch for each main organizer,
describing relevant qualifications in research and
conference/workshop organizing experience;
* past history of the workshop, if any, including number of
submissions, number of accepted papers, and number of registered
attendees for the most recent incarnation of the workshop.
Proposal Evaluation Criteria
Each workshop proposal will be carefully evaluated based on the
following criteria:
* the workshop is within the scope of communications and network
security;
* an important technical topic of high interest and high impact in the
community;
* novelty with respect to other CNS workshops and forums;
* potential to attract high participation.
