Internet of Things: AdoptionChallenges and Technological Advances
Call for Chapters – CRC Press - 2024______________________________________________________________________________________________
Our apologies if you receive this invitation multiple times.
Introduction
Most recently, IoT applications have beenpenetrating a wide range of applications, from lifestyle through retail andhealthcare, all the way to military. Yet, for a successful mainstream utilizationof this model, the IoT adoption challenges alongside the implementation detailsof such applications should be explored more. This includes technicalissues such as hardware and software design/integration, network architectureand communication/routing protocols, security, interoperability and datamanagement, as well as the relevant economic, social and sustainability considerationsthat arise with the advent of such a distributive model. Addressing issues suchas governance, privacy and data protection regulations is also of highimportance for a true global approval of IoT.
The main goal of this project is toencourage researchers and practitioners to share their experiences and recent researchon the subject with both academia and industry. This book aims at building onthe work done in the book Internet of Things: Challenges, Advances, andApplications, CRC Press, 2018, https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.taylorfrancis.com%2Fbooks%2Fedit%2F10.4324%2F9781315155005%2Finternet-things-qusay-hassan-atta-ur-rehman-khan-sajjad-madani&data=05%7C02%7C%7C30fb3cfdd2d9443be89f08dbf8c30fb0%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638377288891965952%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=V3%2F9y5BWteRjfH%2FdNzCjg36%2FoHGKkRIGtcYCstIngaE%3D&reserved=0, by analyzing the state-of-the-art ofIoT, and presenting the key developments and adoption challenges that haveemerged (or lasted) over the years. In addition, the book will highlight how othercomputer science paradigms such as Big Data, AI and Machine Learning can be integralto IoT. Finally, the book will present some case studies of real-life,innovative IoT implementations.
Objectives
· To address IoT adoptionchallenges and implementation issues.
· To explore the emergingtrends in IoT.
· To highlight and discuss the recent developments and technologicaladvances in IoT.
· To propose new models and practical solutions of IoT.
· To present case studies and innovative applications of IoT.
