Dear OpenMath users,
a major step in improving the applicability of the OpenMath wiki has been
accomplished: E-mail notifications for discussions. This means that we can
now conveniently use the wiki as a platform for gathering public comments
about new contributed CDs, as discussed at the OpenMath workshop.
Users who have registered an account in the wiki (http://wiki.openmath.org ->
"Create Account" in the top left box) and entered an e-mail address
(registered users please check "Preferences") can now watch discussion forums
for new posts. There are two options, each configurable at the bottom of a
discussion page:
1. individual selection of discussion forums you would like to watch
2. global setting to watch any discussion forum where you have posted a
comment (from the time you turned on that option)
As I am well aware of Murphy's law, and heavily working on a Ph.D. thesis
whose main topic is the wiki running at OpenMath.org, I'd like to ask you: If
you have any feedback (e.g. bug reports) about this feature, please let me
know via e-mail or Trac (http://trac.mathweb.org/OM3 -> component "wiki").
Cheers, and thanks,
Christoph
