[Om] CD directories once more: Where to place official vs. experimental CDs?

Dear all,

let me contribute a bit more to the confusion about in what directory to
place CDs (see the comments for https://trac.mathweb.org/OM3/ticket/115):

In www/cdfiles2/cd, there are not only CDs with status "official", but also
lots of CDs with status "experimental", and even one "private" one.

There is a second directory www/cdfiles2/contrib/cd, which I thought was
designed to contain experimental and other non-official contributed CDs, but
the CDs there also have different states: Most of them are "experimental",
which I consider correct, but then there are two "official" ones and one with
the state "unofficial", which does not exist.

So what is the purpose of having two directories? Should they be cleaned up?

Cheers,

Christoph
