Well...  I don't remember the exact details, but isn't

   sum(n=0..infinity, 10^(-(2^n))) = 1.010100010000000100...

an exact transcendental that you can construct and know all digits of,
hence calculate with, analyze, etc...?

[No, I'm NOT proposing to extend an FP representation to handle these ;-]
